Steyning is a large, highly successful mixed comprehensive school offering the best of the grammar school tradition with the benefits of the latest technology in a rural setting. We are proud of our church connections and what we have achieved since 1614.

As a Department for Children, Schools and Families designated Technology College, we are a centre of excellence for Mathematics, Science and Technology. We had a good OFSTED report. In recognition of our High Performing Schools Status, we were awarded a second specialism as an Applied Learning School in April 2007.
The core of our work is the education of young people. Every child is an individual and we do our best to provide the maximum opportunity for all students to achieve the best they can based on the traditional values of respect, tolerance, courtesy and co-operation linked with up to date teaching activities in a stimulating environment. Our facilities are modern and extensive, including the latest computer networks. The teachers are dedicated and well qualified to teach in their specialist subjects and they give of their time to offer a wide educational experience.
We recognise that each student has their own unique talents and strengths which we nurture and develop within a safe and secure environment to help them become confident citizens of the future. We pride ourselves on our pastoral care provision and knowledge of the individual. Our students are lively, bright and motivated and through achievement, care and excellence, they grow and flourish in the knowledge that each and every one of them has their own special contribution to make.
